Development and Evaluation of a High-Performance Electrochemical Potentiostat-Based Desktop Application for Rapid SARS-CoV-2 Testing

چکیده

The COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated the development of rapid and trustworthy diagnostic tools. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) is gold standard for detecting SARS-CoV-2 but cost time constraints. sensitivity, specificity, low electrochemical biosensors make them an attractive alternative virus detection. This study aims to develop evaluate a high-performance desktop application potentiostat-based test device, with user-friendly interface that automatically interprets results, expedite testing process improve accessibility, particularly in resource-limited settings. was built Electron framework HTML, CSS, JavaScript programming languages. Our findings indicate developed demonstrates high accuracy compared commercial software, achieving detection within 30 seconds. graphical user found be straightforward user-friendly, requiring minimal training efficient system operation. represents valuable tool testing, settings limited resources. research contributes developing reliable tools potentially other pandemic-causing viruses, addressing pressing need improved public health surveillance response strategies.
